Julian is a special place. Before we owned this cabin now known as WATTSVILLE, my wife and I would sneak away from our busy lives in Orange County (just south of Los Angeles) and within about two hours, we'd be completely transported. The beautiful last hour of the drive settles you into it all. It's as if this expanse of the wild west has remained nearly untouched by modern culture. Towering oak and maple trees, rolling hills, moss-tinged boulders, scattered fields where cattle & horses graze, wild turkey & whitetail deer let you know you're definitely not in the city anymore... and seemingly endless hiking trails stretch out into the mountains.

Just a few miles from our cabin, the cozy historic town of Julian offers some great little restaurants (Julian Beer Company - Great BBQ!!), it's famous locally grown & baked apple pie (Mother's Apple Pie!) and the kind of classic western town aura you'd think was long gone. One of our favorite shops is Quinn Knives (@quinn_knives on Instagram). It’s a classic small-town knife shop with a diverse selection of knives, including some great handmade pieces.

After a few visits it became our dream to have a cabin here... a place to get away, refresh and reconnect with nature. That dream came true in an incredible way a few years ago and now we want to share this amazing cabin with you.
